History of Nat Nast

Nat Nast started the Nat Nast Company in Kansas City, Missouri in the year of 1946. As a motivated entrepreneur Nat Nast saw an opportunity to clothe the many Americans who participated in the sport of bowling. Nat Nast was a fantastic salesman who is known for the creation of the "Action Back" pleated shirts. This design sprung Nat Nast to the top of the world of bowling shirts earning him the reputation of making the best shirts in bowling. The Nat Nast Company was later sold in the 1970's. In the year 2000, Nat Nast's daughters, Barbara and Patty, brought Nat Nast Luxury Originals to the public. They launched this legacy company to honor their father and bring great pieces of clothing to millions of Americans.

How to Spot a Fake Nat Nast Shirt

Because of the popularity of Nat Nast, there has been an increasing number of fake Nat Nast shirts hitting the market. How does an online shopper know the fakes from the real shirts? When purchasing Nat Nast online, make sure the pictures of the item show close detail of the shirt. We need to see the details in order to conclude the shirt is real.

First, a consumer should check the topstiching of the shirt. Nat Nast is known for its wonderful quality and just about every shirt has detailed top-stitching. Next, examine the Nat Nast pinned tag. These tags are also of great quality and the Nat Nast themed shirts will contain a story within them. If the shirt is a themed shirt, note that the story will also be printed on the inside of the shirt. Some shirts will say "Limited Edition".

These two aspects of the Nat Nast shirt will show the consumer if the shirt is real or not. A myth that is circling the Nat Nast community is: "If a Nat Nast shirt's buttons do not have the name Nat Nast inscribed on them, then the shirt is a fake". This is NOT TRUE. Nat Nast releases a line of clothing called "Vintage Fit 1946" in which the buttons do not contain the Nat Nast name. So if your shirt does not contain the Nat Nast name on the buttons, do not worry, if it is a Vintage Fit 1946 shirt.
